1-Day Scenic Nature Walk
Immerse yourself in the lower montane forests. Spot rare birds, unique flora, and the endemic three-horned chameleon on a gentle hike.
Expedition Overview
You do not need to climb to 5,109 meters to understand the magic of the Rwenzori Mountains. Our guided nature walks are designed for travelers who want to slow down, look through a camera lens, and breathe in the prehistoric air of Africa’s highest tropical rainforest.
This walk keeps you well below the altitude sickness zone. It is perfectly suited for families, birdwatchers, and anyone on a tight schedule. You will walk alongside the crystal-clear, glacier-fed Mubuku River, cross suspension bridges, and hunt for the famous Rwenzori three-horned chameleon hidden in the thick vegetation.
